A couple of nights ago my roommate/landlady walked through the front door and announced that she needed to find some wedding photographers. She said that she had recently heard that her niece was going to get married down in Maryland and she needed to immediately find someone that would be able to take decent wedding photographs. She has been very close to her niece for many years and treats her more like a daughter than anything else. It will be my son’s eighth birthday in a couple of weeks time and he has decided that he wants to hold a football themed party. The party attendees will each be wearing colours of their favourite premier league team and even the invitations will have to be in the football theme. My son says that he wants everything to be handmade rather than bought in a shop, so I have spent the last few days sourcing  card making materials for the invitations as well as ingredients for the football themed party food. We’re all going to a lot of trouble to get the party just right and it should be great on the day!

I love to learn new things. If something seems remotely interesting, or potentially rewarding, I’ll sign up. I was so amazed with how Carlos Santana, the Dire Straits, Slash, and the others play the guitar. Why is it so easy for them? And why is it so hard for me? I have to admit it, I am a sucker for female rock groups. Growing up my mother was always cranking Joan Jett on the family 8 track! I guess it was infused in me from an early age. It was no surprise to my parents when I started a band at age 12 and told my parents that someday we would be the best female group that every lived.
