The Range of motion of the ankle joint
The range of motion of the ankle joint is very much significant when using the ankle joint for the body to move over the foot when it is on the ground. The normal range of the motion for the ankle joint is not clearly known as it does appear to vary from person to person. There can be a number of things that will happen if the ankle joint cannot move with a normal range of motion. The body will not be able to move efficiently in a forward direction and if the ankle does not move the full normal amount, then the motion will be needed at another joint or joints. This extra motion may cause problems.
