There were a lot of things that my parents didn’t tell me when I went off to college.  One of those things was how expensive health insurance can be, and that even a doctor’s visit without insurance can cost a small fortune. 

Fortunately for me, now that I’m out of college and I have an ok job, most companies offer health insurance plans for lower income families.  Since the plan is based on whatever you bring in, some families may not qualify, but I’m pretty sure that I will not have a problem.  I’m barely making enough to pay my rent as it is!
