While nay-sayers will come up with countless reasons why offshore outsourcing is bad, at least two deserve our consideration. The first has to do with the current job market we are experiencing domestically. With all the people who have lost their jobs in the past eight months, why would we send our needs overseas? It is not the patriotic thing to do, according to those who oppose the practice. The other negative consequence brought up is how it affects the country where the work is sent. They feel that sending Western jobs into other countries is akin to importing Western culture, which is like saying that we are better than them, and they would be better if they were more like America.
